I survived BamaJam 2010 :)
I somehow survived another long weekend with very little sleep. And despite being tired, I can honestly say I wouldn’t trade the past few days for anything. With the exception of some minor drama that isn’t worth talking about, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
A storm soaked us all on Saturday, so we laughed as we danced in the rain. The music was great and everyone was having too much fun to care about a little water. Plus, the cool droplets felt good against our over-heated skin. It was definitely a nice change from the high 90s we’d been sitting in since Thursday.
All of the shows were good, but there was something about Train that really surprised me. The energy that Pat Monahan brought to the stage was crazy. He jumped around and ran across the stage. He climbed the set. He walked out into the audience (and got within two feet of me!!). He made me forget that I’d been awake for nearly 20 hours, running on very little sleep.
Now it’s Monday and I could really use some of that energy. Think Pat would come sing to me at work?
LUCKY YOU! I love Pat Monahan and Train. Wish I could have been there with you. Let me know ahead of time next year and maybe I’ll come down and go too!
I’m glad your survived! I bet the rain was a welcome treat after that heat.
I loooooove Train! Pat is a fireball of energy, isn’t he? This reminds me of Rockfest. It’s in Dallas and we went the summer of 1997 when I was working in Oklahoma. We slept in a car and danced for two straight days. Fun, fun times. I could never do it now–I’m too old and cranky. ;)
